Bonnie Lue Turner transitioned into the Eve of Eternity on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 12:20, the noon of an Even brighter day.
Bonnie Lue was born on September 3, 1951 in Nelson County. She was a daughter of the late Miles Wheeler and Mary Cabbell Turner. She was the second born of her eight siblings.
Bonnie Lue accepted the Lord at an early age and was known for her caring heart. She never met a stranger because she was a caregiver that cared for everyone. She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren.
Bonnie Lue leaves to honor her memory and carry on her legacy, one daughter, Etta Turner of Madison Heights, VA; two sons, Michael Turner of Arrington, VA, and Austin Braxton of Lynchburg, VA; her six grandchildren, Sandra Turner, Tre’Quan and Honesty Byrd, Michael Turner Jr., Miya Turner, and Malachi Turner; three great-grandchildren, A’riyah Turner, A’laya Manns, and Esperanza Turner; one brother, Mike Turner (Beatrice) of Piney River, VA; three sisters, Nancy Hagar (Rev. James Hagar) of Lynchburg, VA, Joann Smegal of Arrington, VA, and Rev. Lucy Barnett of Amherst, VA; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and grandparents, Bonnie Lue is preceded in death by her older sister, Annabell Allen, and two brothers, Johnny Turner and Matthew Turner.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Pine Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Sheldon Page and Rev. Aaron Wade with burial to follow in the Cabbell/Turner Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
